Projektbilder Schloss-Strassen-Center

The new shopping address on Schloßstraße in Berlin

Tenkhoff Properties GmbH has successfully realised its first project in the form of the Schloss-Strassen-Center (SSC) at Walther-Schreiber-Platz, which was opened on 29 March 2007. The object was developed in conjunction with the Generali group and marks the beginning of Schloßstraße, the second most important shopping street in Berlin. The SSC provides approximately 16,100 m² of rental space extending from the basement to the first floor and has an interesting mix of commercial tenants catering for the whole family’s needs. The flagship stores are leased to ZARA, Rewe and Toys’R’Us, further household-name clothing chains and a large restaurant and café area completing the mix.

The high-quality internal and external architecture is another field where the SSC is setting new standards. The interplay between the travertine and the large glass elements used in the facade design is the object’s main eye-catching feature, and there are light effects to make the SSC stand out at night. The centre also links directly to the underground railway system and has bus stops directly outside the entrance. The upper storeys of the building provide 365 customer parking spaces.
